He expresses anger how he likes, and he likes it messy and filled with chaos. if you don't like it, then don't stick around to see it.DISHONEST : Nathan is a cheating, lying man. most times, lying comes off as second nature to him if you aren't 'close' to him. if you figure out his lie, he won't seem to care, and will even admit it if he wants. people who don't know him are easier to target for him, he's a good liar and has a great poker face to pair up with it. he will ride out a lie until he or the other person dies.SELFISH : you don't think he actually cares about you, do you? he won't hesitate to throw you into a pit full of walkers just for entertainment or the safety of himself. his own family isn't safe from his selfishness, and you can clearly see it without him directly telling you. though, if you're stupid or needy enough, he'll quickly tell you off, revealing just how self-centered he can be.PETTY : Nathan loves the sweet taste of revenge. if you do something wrong to him, and he hates you enough, there's a high chance he will get you back somehow. BACKGROUND/HISTORY

NATHAN GREW UP AROUND NEGLECTFUL AND DRUNK PARENTS FOR MOST OF HIS LIFE. WHEN HIS MOTHER KILLED HERSELF, AND HIS FATHER DROPPED HIM OFF AT HIS GRANDMOTHER'S, ROSE, EVERY SCHOOL BREAK, HOLIDAY, OR JUST ANY TIME IN THE MOST RANDOM OF TIMES, SHE DECIDED TO ADOPT HIM. THE FATHER DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE AND NEVER VISITED HIM SINCE THEN. ROSE HAD ENOUGH MONEY TO SEND HIM TO A GOOD PRIVATE SCHOOL ON A HIGHER-UP RESERVATION NEAR HOLLYWOOD. NATHAN HAD A PRETTY HIGHER-UP STATUS IN LIFE, WITH ROSE BEING IN THE TRIBAL COUNCIL, THEIR RESERVATION BEING MORE UPPITY, AND HIS BRAIN GIVING HIM OPPORTUNITIES, HE LIVED WELL. EVEN THOUGH HIS LIFE WAS GOOD, ROSE NEVER HAD ENOUGH TIME TO SPEND WITH HIM, HAVING TO TRAVEL TO OTHER RESERVATIONS OR USELESS TRIPS WITH COWORKERS, NATHAN FOUND COMFORT IN BEING ALONE, HE LOVED IT. HE WAS ALWAYS DISTANT WITH ROSE, AND ROSE TRIED TO CARE, BUT COULD NOT. THE TWO STAYED OUT OF EACH OTHERS WAY. ONE TRIP THOUGH, ROSE MADE HIM COME ALONG, as their family would meet them there and they would have a vacation, AND DESPITE HIS REFUSAL, SHE PRACTICALLY FORCED HIM. THEY ENDED UP IN THE VILLAGE. NATHAN WAS RESTLESS AND DECIDED TO TAKE A TRIP TO A GAS STATION THAT WASN'T TOO FAR AWAY. WHEN HE GOT THERE, HE NOTICED HOW CROWDED IT WAS. PUSHING HIS WAY THROUGH, HE SAW ON THE NEWS THAT EVERYTHING WAS AN OUTBREAK. He was a witness to one of the first turns when a homeless man attacked a random woman. he went back to the village, told everyone what was happening, and panic started. when a bunch of people left the village, they were met with a group of walkers from the gas station. few made it back to the village alive, some didn't. the people finally decided to stay, letting rose, and two other chiefs, run their small community.after a few years, rose had been coming up with ideas for the village, only to be rejected and ignored by the co-chiefs. the village only ever seemed to side with the two men, as rose wasn't the best council person from the before, having quite an interesting reputation. being angry, rose asked nathan to slowly kill off the two chiefs. nathan poisoned them day by day, watching them slowly grow ill, then eventually die. when the village people saw that their two leaders passed, they instantly looked up to rose. nathan never got a thank you for his dirty work until he threatened rose that he'd tell the village, even revealing that he had proof of her being involved in their deaths, which was a lie. rose, panicked and desperately clung onto her position as leader, agreed to let him in a small council they would make up. rose still held a big part of power, but shared a little bit with Nathan, and their two other relatives, nathan's aunts, mica, and emerald.When Esai-Kori was adopted by Rose, she took care of him here and there, but only adopted him for the tribe's points. she usually left esai with mica, emerald, and Nathan. nathan hating babies, he always bribed some mothers around the village to take care of him instead.when jasper, teal, and jayde arrived at the village, he dreaded it. he hated it even more when rose favored teal due to her winning over her heart, being the favorite, and getting the power of becoming the village leader when rose passed away. nathan always wanted that position, and he wanted it even more when he figured out that it wasn't going to be given to him. acting more angry towards the village and rose, his interest was peaked when he noticed jayde becoming irritated at rose. jayde was causing people to reconsider rose as their leader at times, he observed it closely. when jayde was sent to the village jail, he would always let her out, and she never knew it was him. he wanted her to cause people to doubt rose's position more so he could come in and take over. it was all short-lived when jayde lit the ceremonial hut on fire, jasper, jayde, teal, and surprisingly esai-kori escaped the village.after that event happened, rose had more trouble with the village people. more crime. sometimes, teal and jasper would visit the village, but they left jayde at some community nathan never heard of. it didn't stop nathan from slowly poisoning rose, causing her to fall ill. when mica and emerald catch him, they tell rose and she kicks him out of the village.nathan, pissed off, sets out to find more communities he heard rumors about. eventually, he ends up with the saviors, and snitches to negan about the village. when the saviors get to the village, they find out rose had already died, and the two girls negan had traumatized by killing their father, was running the whole thing. of course negan takes over the village like he did with the other communities. after the savior war, he seemed to vanish, leaving teal and jayde to run the community peacefully.during the six year period, he watched the village heavily, mainly jayde. When she left the village, he didn't hesitate to follow her around in silence. he found out about the whisperers pretty quickly due to jayde, but never intervened until jayde was going to help with the war, nathan had other plans for her. he had told jayde to stay back and do nothing, saying a few words to sweeten it up, and she agrees.he convinces her to become a double agent for him, only hanging around teal for information about the village and some nearby communities they could eventually take over or steal from. jayde forces teal to steal for 'the village' when in reality, it was going to Nathan.when the reapers are done, Nathan has a followup with jayde, only to be caught by lance, but thankfully, he wasn't turned in, and the two come to an agreement. nathan having help by getting the supplies he needs/wants to destroy the village so that the commonwealth could take over it, but he gets to run a big part of it as well. despite jayde's cries, Nathan ignores it and destroys the village. when teal comes back to find the village is damaged, Nathan and teal decide to fight it out with the people.
